Liam the Cookie Monster

On Christmas Eve, we were at the Fox family Christmas party and, as it usual, there wasn’t a lot of food there that Liam would consider eating. In fact, the only thing we knew he’d eat was chocolate chip cookies. Given the options of cookies for dinner or no dinner at all, we opted for the least bad parenting option and gave him a cookie. And, what the hey, it’s Christmas! Give the kid a second cookie. Then we noticed that he’d helped himself to a third cookie. Then Grandpa Fox announced rather proudly that he’d given Liam another cookie. I think you can see where this is going. We lost count of how many cookies he ended up polishing off, either through conning relatives or helping himself, but we’re pretty sure it was in the 8-10 range. Needless to say, he was pretty wired for the car ride back.

And that’s how Liam came to eat cookies for dinner.
