Did iTunes save "The Office"?
Neilson ratings aren't everything any more. NBC revealed that "The Office" was on the chopping block until they put it on iTunes and saw the numbers soar. Based on that, they decided to order more episodes of the show saving it from a likely abrupt end. Did iTunes save "The Office" from an untimely death? It sure looks so.

I love The Office. Unfortunately, it is one of those shows that grows on you. If watching for the first time, there may be a couple of “ha ha” moments, but the character nuances dont emerge until you’ve watched a few episodes. I think while the show is great, most viewers may tune in for one episode and then turn the channel.
