Website Updates: The Photo Gallery, E-mail Notifications, Condensed Posts
I've made a few changes to the website to bring up some features we want and make things a little easier to use. The most noticable is that long posts (of which I write quite a few) are now showing just the first paragraph or two with a link beneath to continue reading. This is so that my expatiations don't take over the whole page and drown out the other posts.
The next one has been around for a while, but has just recently been put into any kind of use: the Photo Gallery. Right now, there's just a few pictures from our Death Valley trip in 2005, but it's just a start. I needed something to test with and Shauna has the photo-picking skills. Besides, the updated version of the ANIga plugin makes it MUCH easier to pick and choose pictures to upload.
The last change has been around for a while, but nobody is using it: e-mail notifications whenever we post something new. You have to register an account and set yourself up to receive the notices. Then you don't have to continually and obsessively check our website for updates of any kind. You can even pick which categories you want to get (if you don't want my long-winded politics rants) and even have the whole entry arrive instead of just a summary.
And as a side note, we know that our site looks totally terrible in Internet Explorer. Do yourself a favor and get a better browser. You can thank me later.
Hooray! It no longer looks terrible in IE!
